If you are house hunting in Northern Virginia or here to visit area attractions you don’t have to rough it as The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner was recently named the No. 2 luxury hotel in Virginia.
The Ritz-Carlton was in good company as three other McLean hotels made the luxury list compiled by U.S. News and World Report including the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center and The Westin Tysons Corner.
The ranking, based upon opinions from travel experts and TripAdvisor reviews, placed The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner as the No. 29 overall luxury hotel in the United States.
“As the preferred luxury hotel in Northern Virginia, we have a proud history of delivering the utmost level of sophistication and personal service for our guests,” said Rajesh Khubchandani, general manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.
Khubchandani oversaw a multi-million dollar transformation of the hotel which was completed last year just in time to celebrate the hotel’s 25th anniversary. All 398 guestrooms and suites were updated as well as the 24th floor Club Lounge.
The refreshed rooms blend a modern look with a feel of a chic Parisian boutique hotel. Upgrades include USB ports, Nespresso machines, plush chairs and smart televisions for streaming options.
What hasn’t changed at the Ritz-Carlton is the hotel’s attention to detail with twice-daily housekeeping, 24-hour room service, overnight shoeshine, laundry and dry cleaning service.
One guest put it best on TripAdvisor: “I always love staying here because they anticipate my every need even before I think of it.”
Large windows at The Ritz-Carlton give guests a stunning view of Washington, D.C. to the east and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west.
If you want a true home away from home, then booked the Presidential Suite which boasts a spacious 1,835 square feet that includes a full kitchen, dining room, living room, fireplace, large foyer and living and 2.5 bathrooms.
The redesigned Club Lounge includes a marble fireplace and offers complimentary beer, wine and cocktails. The lounge is also home to complimentary extras such as yoga lessons, fashion trunk shows and chef tastings.

The hotel is located at the Tysons Galleria Mall, a shopper’s paradise with luxury brands such as Burberry, Cartier, Chanel and Versace.
ENTYSE, the hotel’s highly-acclaimed wine bar & lounge has something for everyone from afternoon tea to happy hour cocktails to evening wine and live jazz.
