Theodore Theologis, Esq.

Principal Broker, Realtor®

Theo is the founder and Principal Broker of Slones Real Estate. He helps homeowners and home buyers achieve their goals in real estate and beyond.

Theo’s background in real estate began at an early age. With his father being a developer of condominiums and mixed-use buildings, Theo started visiting construction sites at the age of 6.

In college, Theo became interested in wireless telecommunications and e-commerce and ended up spending several years in the high-tech field where, among other things, he had the opportunity to work for the leading provider of text messaging interoperability services, and launch a very popular newsletter geared towards wireless telecom executives.

In the early 2000s Theo started investing in real estate and soon after decided to pursue real estate as a career. He began his career with Long & Foster in McLean, and over the years worked for companies such as Remax Allegiance and Arbour Realty, a boutique brokerage in Arlington, VA.

When Arbour Realty was acquired by a large franchise, Real Living At Home (RLAH), Theo decided to launch Slones Real Estate to combine the personal attention and customer service that only a boutique company can offer, with the cutting-edge marketing know-how and resources of a digital marketing agency he had founded.

Theo’s passion for real estate is evident in his constant pursuit of knowledge. Among other things, Theo has earned the LEED Green Associate credential, which provides a solid foundation in green and sustainable construction methods, and he has studied staging and Feng Shui to better understand how materials, colors, and furniture placement affect interior spaces.

During his real estate career, Theo has also been involved in international real estate. He has been a member of FIABCI – The International Real Estate Federation, and NAEA, UK’s National Association of Estate Agents.

Beyond work, Theo is an active real estate investor and volunteers with several real estate related organizations.

He has served on the Board of Zoning Appeals in the City of Falls Church and has volunteered in the Landlord/Tenant clinic of Legal Services of Northern Virginia.

He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association of REALTORS, and on the Professional Standards Committee of the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS.

He is currently involved with the Real Estate Practice Section of the Fairfax Bar Association, and also serves on the Board of Directors of two homeowners’ associations.

Theo is also licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to teach Real Estate Brokerage, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Law.
